  1. Hey, Try this on the master php /usr/local/solusvm/scripts/clearauthlog.php --system --clear=all https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/Clear+the+Admin+Blacklist
  2. Hey, Try to reset cache on the slave: echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches swapoff -a && swapon -a
  3. I had an issue recently on newly deployed SolusVM installation and strugling with this for a several hours. The solution was so easy so I decided to post it here, maybe it will save to for other SolusVM users who will face it.I tried to configure noVNC feature on SolusVM v1.20.05 with HTML 5 console. I walked through the documentation https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/noVNC+Configuration and enabled the feature in configuration settings, installed all the necessary dependencies and SSL certificate. After all these steps I tried to connect to the running KVM VPS and connection windows displayed the error 'Server disconnected (code:1006)'. Long story short, I found that I did not create /usr/local/solusvm/data/config.ini with the following content: [NOVNC] use_remote_hostname = true socket_dest_public = false There is no such file as a default, only config.ini.sample template file, maybe that was the reason why I missed it. Once I created it and added the lines above, noVNC magic started to work
  4. Hi mathx Yeah, this is known behavior with SolusVM v1. Hope it will be fixed in next product

No free leases error with SolusVM KVM slaves

    hi, try to add range parameter as it described in dhcp doc - https://www.isc.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/dhcp41conf.html subnet netmask { subnet-specific parameters... range; }
  7. Hi, Recommendations are the same as for other software running and kernel updates: use maintenance timeframe upgrade the kernel check the functionality like provisioning of virtuals servers and so on be ready to downgrade the kernel to the previous version ) As far as I know, there are no crucial issues after kernel update but you never know )

    Windows template does not run

Hi, Have you tried to install custom libguestfs tools on the CentOS 7 node - https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/Libguestfs ?

    SolusVM WHMCS module not working

Hey, Do you have any service plans created in SolusVM? Also, make sure that you added the lines from the article https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/SSL+Configuration to Access Hash field on the server settings page. And I suggest follow this document carefully - https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/WHMCS

VM not listening to public IP

Good to know that this is solved )

VM not listening to public IP

hi, there is a probability that you have configured bridge only for Internal network and did not configure bridge for public IP range you have. Here is an example of the bridged network on the working KVM slave: # brctl show bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces br0 8000.001c4267bb94 no eth0 kvm109.0 virbr0 8000.5254001e6701 yes virbr0-nic You need to setup a bridge interface for public IPs as it is described in the article https://documentation.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/KVM+Bridge+Setup It is in addition to the bridge for internal IPs You can paste here the output for the commands: brctl show ls -l /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-*

    Private Network best practice

Hey, Could you clarify the scenario in more details? In general, you can try set up a several IP pools using IPs reserved for private networks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network), e.g. -, - and so on. And configure routing to make them communicate. Mostly, SolusVM allows automating assigning IP address from private network IP addresses pool. For planning the entire network architecture it is better to consult with network engineer.
  13. Also, you can connect to the container's command line with "vzctl enter CTID" command and check its network configuration and logs inside of the container directly. CTID should be replaced with actual ID of the container.

debian and ubuntu kvm templates from TDN

Hi, Can you send details about the host node? Kernel version, partitioning, OS release? What is the automatic update you mentioned, is this system updates? Also, what is the SolusVM version, 1.19 or 1.20?
  15. Hi, Most likely remote desktop connections feature is disabled in Windows Server 2008. Connect to the server via VNC and check RDP settings and make sure that network interface inside of the VPS is configured properly. To connect via VNC you can use VNC Viewer for Google Chrome plugin (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vnc®-viewer-for-google-ch/iabmpiboiopbgfabjmgeedhcmjenhbla) If VNC settings were not customized, then you should use the slave node main IP to connect and for VNC port use 590X (you have to replace X with the number set as VNC Port for VPS settings) The password should be generated on the VPS creation.

    VNC Server Won't Connect

Hi, Have you tried to use another VNC client like VNC Viewer plugin for Chrome?
  17. Hi, In addition to basezap answer, found a monitoring script that can be useful - https://github.com/bacarrdy/openvz-monitor It provides the brief info about the CTs running in the following format: # sh openvz-monitor-master/mon.sh VEID: 101 --- Read: 0MB/s Write: 0MB/s CPuUsage: 0% MemTotal: 36028797018963967 MB MemUsed: 38 MB LoadAverages: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 HddUsage: 8% HddTotal: 9.8G VEID: 102 --- Read: 0MB/s Write: 0MB/s CPuUsage: 46% MemTotal: 36028797018963967 MB MemUsed: 257 MB LoadAverages: 0.66, 0.28, 0.11 HddUsage: 17% HddTotal: 9.8G The output can be parsed and some action are specified (restart VM) in case of over usage in the cron script.

How can I chose my own OS Image avatar?

    Hi, I am not sure what are the avatar images you mentioned, but try to customize these files on the master node: # ls -l /usr/local/solusvm/www/template_assets/admin/default/images/icons/ | grep "openvz\|kvm\|xen" -rw-r--r-- 1 solusvm solusvm 1039 Jul 12 10:22 kvm.gif -rw-r--r-- 1 solusvm solusvm 3900 Jul 12 10:22 kvm.png -rw-r--r-- 1 solusvm solusvm 634 Jul 12 10:22 openvz.gif -rw-r--r-- 1 solusvm solusvm 1787 Jul 12 10:22 xen.gif -rw-r--r-- 1 solusvm solusvm 2186 Jul 12 10:22 xenhvm.gif These files are icon images for virtualization type in UI.

KVM templates both slave and master?

Hi, This is ok to have an empty template file on the master node, like # ls -l /home/solusvm/kvm/template/linux-debian-9-x86_64-minimal-latest.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jul 13 14:47 /home/solusvm/kvm/template/linux-debian-9-x86_64-minimal-latest.gz Just make sure that you have uploaded a non-empty template on the slave node ) Note that it is safe to sync media in this case, the template with zero size will be skipped.

Number of emails a VPS can send

Hi, I think you are talking about some kind of Outgoing Mail Control feature for the VPS instances. Walked through the SolusVM docs and did not found any. It makes sense because configuring of such limits depends on MTA on the server. I guess it should be configured directly on the server.

Graph images are blocked from poor SSL in WHMCS

Hi, Try to add the following lines into "Access Hash" in the server settings for WHMCS: <ssl_verifypeer>no</ssl_verifypeer> <ssl_verifyhost>no</ssl_verifyhost> https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/SSL+Configuration
  22. Hi, There is a Video tab in Settings for the KVM VPS instance (Dahsboard > Virtual Servers > Click on the server ID link) You can setup video drivers there. VGA, vmVGA, Cirrus are available to select.

TUN/TAP Module Enable on KVM ?

Hi, AFAIK, it is possible to enable the module from inside of the VPS instance only: # modprobe tun

KVM Server Node load issue ?

Hi, KVM host node load is shown on the Node Information page, Nodes > Click on the node name Also, found that load averages can be fetched from command line (https://docs.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/Monitoring). It returns data in json format, e.g.: # curl -k https://SLAVE_NODE_IP:6767/status/?id=UZ6AOV {"success":"1","uptime":" 04:39:10 up 6:32 1 user","avg1":"0.00","avg5":" 0.01","avg15":" 0.05","kernel":"3.10.0-693.21.1.el7.x86_64","os":"CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core) "} SLAVE_NODE_IP has to be replaced with IP address UZ6AOV - its a first 6 characters from the node's ID key that is used during adding the node to master I think it is possible to create some script that will query the slaves, parse the response and perform some actions, e.g. send notifications. Also, there is a Metrics page with statistics data collected:
