  1. Very strange, our new VPS KVM CentOS 7 templates seem to have an issue with cPanel. I got through the normal steps to disable network manager and the firewall. But when I run cPanel I get this error and all networking stops: 2019-04-10 00:12:39 333 (DEBUG): Package kernel-headers-3.10.0-957.10.1.el7.x86_64 already installed and latest version2019-04-10 00:12:39 333 (DEBUG): Nothing to do2019-04-10 00:12:39 333 (DEBUG): - ssystem [END]2019-04-10 00:12:39 184 (DEBUG): - ssystem [BEGIN]: ps -U nscd -h 2>/dev/null || /sbin/service nscd start2019-04-10 00:12:39 184 (DEBUG): Redirecting to /bin/systemctl start nscd.service2019-04-10 00:12:39 184 (DEBUG): - ssystem [END]2019-04-10 00:12:39 1729 (DEBUG): - ssystem [BEGIN]: /usr/bin/rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net2019-04-10 00:12:39 1729 (DEBUG): rdate: rdate.cpanel.net: Name or service not known2019-04-10 00:12:39 1729 (ERROR): - ssystem [EXIT_CODE] '/usr/bin/rdate' exited with 1 (ignored)2019-04-10 00:12:39 1729 (DEBUG): - ssystem [END]2019-04-10 00:12:39 1731 ( INFO): The system set the clock to: Wed Apr 10 00:12:39 20192019-04-10 00:12:39 1741 ( INFO): The system changed the clock by 0 seconds.2019-04-10 00:12:39 1511 ( INFO): The installation process will now set up the necessary empty cpanel directories.2019-04-10 00:12:39 1542 ( INFO): The installation process will now ensure that GPG is set up properly before it imports keys.2019-04-10 00:12:39 1545 ( INFO): The installation process will now import GPG keys for yum.2019-04-10 00:12:39 1273 (DEBUG): Retrieving http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/TIERS to the TIERS file...2019-04-10 00:12:39 1282 (FATAL): The system could not fetch the TIERS file.Removing /root/installer.lock.[root@host home]#I have tried it on two different server and three installations and networking just dies a tthe same part of the install process: 2019-04-10 00:12:39 1273 (DEBUG): Retrieving http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/TIERS to the TIERS file...2019-04-10 00:12:39 1282 (FATAL): The system could not fetch the TIERS file. When i reboot the server networking starts again but when I run cPanel it stops at the same point and all networking is down.I'm stumped, the resolve file is fine. 2. Every time I set up a new slave server I need support to do something to make it work. I was hoping I could get this going correctly from the start. Even though the support is great of course. I'm just stuck on the CentOS installer when it asks to add the Volume Group Name and LVM. The SolusVM instructions "https://documentation.solusvm.com/display/DOCS/KVM+on+RHEL+(CentOS)+7+Hypervisor+Installer" doesn't specify what to put in several boxes that are required. I attached an image with my guesses of what to add. Please let me know if it will work. Like /lvm2 for the partition and groupvol01 for the Volume Group Name. The image shows all the settings. Thanks! Charley
  3. Hi,I am operating a Solus KVM node with a couple of VEs. The one VE that is more used I have unstable connectivity and user complaints (the downtime is not very large but it's still a problem). I have checked the network on both the hostnode and on the VE.HW Node: VE 101: What could be the problem? Thanks!
  4. Hi, I have just setup a stand alone Master(slave) and a slave node for KVM, when I got to stage of creating a VPS on the node, it creates it on the control panel, however appears to create nothing on the node and also doesn't show the Operating System when logged into the client account for the VPS. I am confused on this as I am unsure what I could have missed, I also assume that the templates can only be on the Master or can the go on the Slave to avoid transfering from one location to another?. Hope someone is able to help me resolve this issue, I am completely new to SolusVM and KVM. Regards, Gary
  5. Hello! I have installed CentOS 7 slave node and found some issues with Windows templates.I have installed VM with Windows Server 2008 R2 and create template from it. I reinstall VM from this template and ... template don't work - Windows booted only in recovery mode. I tried download Server 2008 R2 template from tdn.solusvm.com and reinstall VM from it - and got same error. Can you help me?
  6. Hello, I have both my master and slave installed on centOS 6 on 2 seperate servers. I have created a Windows 2012 R2 KVM Template, copied the file on both master and slave to /home/solusvm/kvm/template and named both files windows-2012-server-r2-x86_64-gen2-v1.gz When creating a VPS on solus and booting from template, it shows "No bootable device" screen shot: https://gyazo.com/9f7ca64e235d391517c55ecbaff649fa
  7. Hi, We are running two KVM nodes, Two servers are high end configuration servers with 64gb ram and Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2603 v3 @ 1.60GHz. We have around 15 small production VM's in each node. Our ram usage with node is below 60% (normal usage around 40gb out of 64gb). Meanwhile we could see high swap space usage in the server. We have currently 8gb swap out of which around 7gb is already used. See the screen shot attached. It is very strange that even if we are having enough free ram swap is used. Why it is like this? Has anybody noticed the same behavior with KVM solsuvm node? Is there any recommended fix for the same. The worst thing I have noticed is weekly backup of vm's are not working. Backup backing up only two vms then backup process is not responding at all. Expecting some expert advise and solutions.
  8. Hello! Today after reconfigure network on one old Debian VPS I discovered that IPv6 don't work. I check /etc/network/interfaces and found that some IPv6 configuration parameters is missing. In new IPv6 configuration: not found - iface eth0 inet6 staticnot found - address 2a01:4f8:61:20e1::2not found - netmask 64 I submit tech. support ticket, but suport don't understand my problem. They ask me about templates and offered download new templates. I don't understand HOW templates associated with this problem ??? I check this issue on other Debian and Ubunte VPS. And get same IPv6 errors. I don't know who can help me. Now I know only one solution - manually restore configs after reconfiguration.
  9. I'm sure I've missed something because I've setup two new KVM VPS servers to install a SVM Master w/OpenVZ and a SVM slave which seems to be fine. However, after adding a new KVM virtual machine (which seems fine) it won't boot. I can tell you that the slave machine does have a folder with the VM name on it so I assume it's communicating. Also, the template is on both the master and slave. Not sure what i've done wrong but after a couple hours trying all sort of things I'm here for help. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
